How Pro works

What Pro gives you, and how monthly vs annual billing is priced.

The free account is fully functional for occasional file sending. Pro is for those who need larger files, longer expiry, or security features.

What Pro gives you

  • Larger files — Up to 100GB per file, no quota, vs 3 GB on free.
  • Longer expiry — up to 30 days vs 7 days
  • Password protection on transfers
  • Recipient verification (exact email or domain)
  • Burn on delivery — file is deleted after the first download
  • Unlimited contacts and groups — free account has a max of 20 contacts.

Monthly vs annual

You can choose monthly or annual billing. Annual is cheaper per month (~10-15% savings). You can switch between them at any time:

  • Monthly → annual takes effect immediately, you're charged the difference for the remainder of the current period
  • Annual → monthly takes effect at the end of the current annual period

Upgrading

Go to Account → Subscription and click Upgrade. You'll be taken to a secure payment page where you enter your card. Pro features become available immediately after the payment is processed.

Cancellation

Cancel under Account → Subscription → End Pro subscription. You keep the Pro features through the period you've already paid for, then you go back to a free account. All data — contacts, transfer history, settings — is kept. Similarly, you need to cancel sponsor seats and domain seats if you no longer want to keep them.

Refunds

We do not refund for the current period you've already paid for. You keep Pro access through the period.

Pro for multiple people

If you want to cover Pro for several people — employees, clients, partners — see the articles on business account and sponsor seats. Both offer volume discount which reduces the price per seat the more you have.
