Volume discount on multiple seats

Price per seat is reduced step by step the more seats you have — here's how it's calculated.

If you cover Pro for multiple people — such as employees via domain seats or external people via sponsor seats — we automatically apply a volume discount. The more seats you have, the lower the price per seat.

Marginal, not total

The discount applies marginally per seat position, not to all seats combined. That means seat no. 11 gets a 30% discount, but seats 1-10 keep their respective rates.

Example — you have 15 seats:

  • Seat 1-2: full price
  • Seat 3-10: 10% discount on each
  • Seat 11-15: 30% discount on each

You pay a blend — not 30% on all 15.

What counts

All active seats under your business account count, regardless of type:

  • Your own Pro
  • Each domain seat (employees)
  • Each sponsor seat (external people you cover)

Combined, these determine how far up the discount tiers you go for the next seat you add.

Changes mid-period

If you add or remove seats mid-billing-period, the invoice is calculated pro-rata — you pay exactly for the days you had each number of seats, not for "the whole month regardless".

Example

Business with 30 seats (all set up at the same time):

  • 2 seats × full price
  • 8 seats × 90% price (10% discount)
  • 15 seats × 70% price (30% discount)
  • 5 seats × 62% price (38% discount)

Effective price per seat becomes approximately 74% of full — or 26% average discount across the entire list.

Where you see the calculation

Each invoice under Account → Subscription → Invoices specifies how many seats are on which discount tier, so you can verify the calculation. The PDF is a full accounting record.
